Neither one of us
Monday night I was listening to Gladys Knight. Ok just had a random thought; being a person who grew up with Gladys, do White people listen to her or any of the older R&B. I know it sounds like a dumb questions but it seems like the majority of my White friends are into classic rock the Beatles, or just plain generic dance music. I live off of Barry White, Gladys Knight, The Temptations, Stylistics, and Marvin Gaye. Even though a lot of it is before my time it�s what my parents listen to which gives me comfort. Anyway I was listening to the song Neither One of Us , which has the hook line that neither one of us wants to be the first to say it� Goodbye. I feel that way. I was the one who initiated that I felt it was time to cut it loose but it was like JAB wouldn�t hear of it. He said fine and that we would sell the house and then a half an hour later he came up and gave me a hug and said he loved me and then started talking about putting hardwood floors in my bedroom. In some ways it made me angry and then it some ways it made me feel secure.
Who knows what�s going to happen. In a totally different subject I need confirmation that there will be no mail delivery on Friday due to Ronald Reagan�s funeral. Of course being a Gay person and a Gay person of color, my feelings are not all warm and fuzzy when it comes to the late President. I also think that when the Space Shuttle crashed we still had mail service and that to me was a true National disaster and worthy of not having mail delivered. As I said it may be a rumor. I hope so. No offense to President Reagan.
